“ Kreuzberg by far has the best breakfast burritos, I come here just for it. It has the perfect ratio of all the fillings of potatoes, cheese, salsa, bacon, and sour cream. I don't usually order coffee, but the Vanilla Latte surprised me and was yummy. I don't recommend their matcha, it's not my favorite. I don't love that their tip is automatically set at 25%. It's a place where you order at the counter and pick up your drink from the counter. That is a little upsetting to me that a tip kind of feels mandatory. There is plenty of seating and a good spot to study if you can find a table on the weekends. ig: @cravingswithcat ”
“ This is one of my favorite places to study/do work when I'm in SLO! They have great coffee and good options for some food but the amount of seating, WiFi, and outlets all over is pretty unbeatable. Tons of tables and places to sit. They have two nooks in the front that are kinda cool with big windows looking out to Higuera St. Overall a great atmosphere for getting work done so would 100% recommend! ”
“ What a cute space! I really enjoyed my pit stop at Kreuzberg on my way up north. There was a line out the door when we came at 10 but things moved pretty quickly. We ordered a brown butter maple latte, breakfast burrito with soyrizo and San Luis obispbowl (acai bowl) at the counter. They gave us a number and asked us to pick our drink up from the bar when it was ready. There are so many cool nooks in this establishment! So many college students around taking advantage of this space. This place makes me want to study again lol the latte was good, but we couldn't taste the flavor that much. The breakfast burrito was good and the soyrizo added some extra flavor to it. But the star of the show was the acai bowl. Omg it was sooo good! I have my go to acai bowl place but this one is a very close second! Just wish it was a little closer to me. Will definitely stop by if I'm in the area again! ”
“ This was a momentous breakfast burrito. It looks small, but it was chock full of goodness. As I mentioned in a prior post, I love hashbrowns in burritos; it adds some great texture and makes it more filling. This burrito had that. It also had a ring of cheese around the edge of the burrito, which ensured evenly distributed amounts of cheesiness with each bite. I added avocado, and honestly, it wasn't the move; despite being an avid avocado enjoyer, I felt like it was too concentrated on one side, which overshadowed the rest of the burrito's flavors. I'll have to see if I can get some salsa next time, because spice was the one thing that this was kinda missing. The blueberry muffin was great, too. Had this fire sugared top which reminded me of a biscotti (kind of crumbly and sweet). I was already full from the burrito, so I can't say I ate a lot of the muffin. The vibes here are also solid. I spotted a lil plaque that mentioned Kreuzberg was rated one of the top study spots for students by Mustang News. Good to keep in mind next time I have to lock in. ”
“ The location is great in central downtown SLO. Love the quirky Berlin decor and vibe throughout. We ordered the California omelette, but sadly it was mostly tomatoes. The tater tots were hot and crispy. My cappuccino was especially delicious. I usually add sugar, but the coffee was perfect without. We brought homemade Streusel Kuchen with us, and the baker offered us his coffee cake. It was moist and so delicious! We stop by every time we're in town. ”
“ I popped in on a Friday morning around 9 AM and this large space had about 15 patrons. There are tons of indoor tables in multiple different rooms. There is a lounge, reading room and main room with huge portrait murals painted on the wall. The reading room features two large leather couches as well as a wall of picture art. It's cozy. - Not only did I like the decor, but I also enjoyed my beverage. I ordered an almond milk steamer with vanilla. It came out a perfect temperature and consistency. The vanilla flavor was robust and natural. The cups are subtly branded. I only ask that you consider tops that are compost friendly for the future. - Your staff welcomed me almost immediately upon my arrival. There was no line at the register and they were very patient while I looked over the menu which was positioned right at the counter. They were able to provide me with the bathroom code upon request. My only other suggestion is having a more frequent cleaning schedule for the bathroom. There was hair in the sink. ”
“ Kreuzberg offers a large space to grab a bite to eat, sip on some drinks, and catch up on life. The ambiance has soulful music, eclectic and hipster decor, and the bar is the center of attention. For coffee lovers, this cafè feels like a crafted hot coffee moment (even in the summer), but they also offer live music and cocktails for a great happy hour. Food came out quickly for a Saturday morning (before our drinks), but the breakfast burrito was appreciated and filling compared to some of the other breakfast items. Pricing is okay, but they offer vegan & non dairy alternatives. Order and pay up front, with a few ADA friendly seating, and they ask that you bus your own dishes. FYI, the bathroom has a code, so you'll have to ask the staff. ”
“ Spacious with lots of people on their laptops completing work at the tables. I love the different seating options and everyone looks like they frequently come here to complete some work. Order and pay at the front and they bring your order to you. We ordered the breakfast burrito and tater tots - really good. I wish the tots came with some dipping sauce I ordered the vanilla latte with oatmilk and it was alright. The nitro cold brew tasted watered down. The food is better than the coffee ”
“ Chai latte with almond milk was delicious! One of the best chai lattes I've ever had. Perfectly spicy and sweet. Their coffee is also good, just very strong for me. Ambiance is cool - lots of historical things here if you do some research. ”
“ 3.5 stars for the breakfast burrito, rounded up to a 4 because the employees were super nice and the cafe was extremely spacious. The street-facing front section had a livelier vibe. It was noisier from people chatting, drinks being made, and coffee being roasted, ground, and packaged. There was a quieter, dimmer lounge to the side. We sat on booths at the front and noted outlets on the benches. We paid at the counter, took the number to our table, and bussed our own trays at the end. My bf and I shared one bacon breakfast burrito ($14 + $2 avocado add-on). The construction of the hefty item was sturdy, not messy to eat. Whoever made it is a good burrito roller. The tortilla was good: somewhat pliable and soft, warm and chewy, firm enough to provide structure. I liked how the filling was neatly organized. A ring of melted cheddar and juicy scrambled egg wrapped around the tater tots, bacon, sour cream, and avocado. The tots were crispy, but not too oily, and the portion of avocado was appropriate for the cost. The roughly chopped bacon was nice and crispy. However, my bf said he hardly got any bacon in his half until the end. My half had an even distribution of it. Unfortunately, I strongly disliked the red salsa inside of the burrito. It was really bad for me (bf disagreed). I thought it was too salty and slightly sweet. I didn't taste anything else. A better salsa would take this burrito over the top. ”
